Revel Sports led service activities for 2009
1. April 4th State WISCPHR Meeting: Requested by WISCPHR for Bonnie to give a Nordic walking presentation which included basic introductory lessons in which Revel Sports provided demo poles and Bonnie and Perry led a short walk. UUW-LaCrosse Professor, Dr Porcari gave the presentation with Bonnie and also assisted with instruction and leading the walk.
2. May 12th Marathon County Aging & Disability Center: Requested Bonnie to provide basic Nordic walking info, basic instructions and a very short walk with those that were interested. Demo poles provided.
3. August 26th, September 2nd, 9th, & 16th Birkie Foundation: Ned Zulesdorf of the Birkie Foundation requested Revel Sports to hold Nordic Walking Clinics/ Training Sessions and promote the annual Birkie Trek (Nordic walking event). Demo poles provided.
4. September 22nd St Michael’s Hospital: requested Revel Sports to provide a Nordic walking presentation, basic introductory instructions and to lead a short walk and provide demo poles.
5. October 30th State WAHPERD (Wisconsin Association of Health, Physical Education, Recreation & Dance) Meeting: Requested to present Nordic walking information for students and classroom settings, basic instructions and a short Nordic walk. Demo poles provided.
6. November 17th St Joseph’s Hospital Mended Hearts Group: requested Revel Sports to provide a Nordic walking presentation including general info, basic introductory instruction and a short Nordic walk with demo poles provided.
