BODYGLIDE®
products are reliable, easy to use, penetrate your skin, work right where you
need them, and they are not messy. These are
technically advanced formulas that are noticeably different than creams,
jellies, lotions, salves or liquids. They do not contain any mineral oil,
lanolin, animal products, or alcohol and you don’t need to rub them on with your
hands. Our unique line of products are hypoallergenic. They include:
Reliable
anti-friction formulation used to help protect against chafing, blisters, saddle
sores, rash, itch and other skin irritation caused by friction (rubbing)
including rubbing from clothes, footwear (including sandals), gear and
equipment, and skin that rubs against or touches skin (including in the creases
of the body such as underarms, breasts, and groin).
SPF
25 for skin exposed to the sun—with all the anti-friction skin benefits of the
regular Skin Formula.
When
your body is in motion, skin is vulnerable to a variety of rubbing from
footwear, clothing, and skin rubbing against skin, itself. This is true in
aerobics, no matter whether impact is high or low. Vulnerable areas include:
feet, between the thighs, under the arms, and in body creases where skin touches
skin. Muscles and joints are worked—as they should be.
Applied
to bare skin, Skin Formula creates a non-greasy barrier to help guard against
friction (rubbing), but it permits perspiration to escape. Rubbing and
perspiration (moisture) are root causes of chafing and foot blisters, and Skin
Formula protects against both. (See
If The
Shoe Fits…) Use Skin Formula after your workout to help soothe your skin
If your aerobics workouts are outdoors, Sun Formula works against friction and
it is a non-oily sun screen, as well. The solution for chafing and blisters is
also a solution for skin exposed to the sun. Use it on the face, arms, legs and
other exposed skin. It is often used as a sunscreen, alone. It stays where you
apply it, and it won’t melt off. Be sure to follow advice about using
sunscreens.
Running
the bases, cutting quickly on the field—sliding—any or all of the motions in
baseball can lead to chafing, blisters, other skin irritation and sore, aching
muscles and joints. Uniforms and the right shoes help—but sometimes they are
part of the problem. So, under the uniform—and underfoot—players need to think
about the surface of their body.
Using Skin Formula before you dress for practice or play helps protect you.
Applied to your bare skin, Skin Formula creates a non-oily barrier against
friction, but it permits perspiration to escape. Friction (rubbing) and
perspiration (moisture) cause chafing and foot blisters, and Skin Formula
protects against both. (See
If The
Shoe Fits…) Use Skin Formula after play to soothe the skin.
You
are going to be playing in the sun, and your skin will be vulnerable—even under
cloud cover. Sun Formula with SPF 25 offers everything that’s in the skin
formula, plus added protection against the sun. Use it on your face for
sunscreen—and all over, wherever you need it—head to toe.
“It’s
the shoes”—and inside your shoes, it’s your feet. On the court, Skin Formula is
used by pro players. Quick stops, fast breaks, jumping, and going all-out puts a
lot of pressure on feet—not to mention knees, calves, and associated muscles and
joints. (See
If The
Shoe Fits…and
Team
Sports)
About your feet. You depend on great shoes for support, comfort and shock
absorption to play the game. But what about the surface of the skin on your
feet? The slightest movement inside the shoes leads to hot spots, burning and
blisters. Skin Formula gives you a non-oily barrier to help protect against
movement of your feet inside the socks, and against the inside of the shoes.
Perspiration passes through Skin Formula to be wicked away by your socks. Skin
Formula is used on any surface of your body that is rubbed—by your shirt or
shorts—or skin touching skin.
If you are lucky enough (or enjoy) to play outdoors, your exposed skin is
vulnerable to sun—even under cloud cover. Sun Formula has everything that’s in
our original Skin Formula—plus added protection against the sun. Use it on your
face for sunscreen—and all over where you need it—head to toe.
Please see Triathlon , Cycling, Running, Swimming.
Depending upon what you wear, it’s a challenge to stay cool and comfortable.
Some BMX clothing is unbearably hot, until the very moment it comes off. The
clothing can trap heat and perspiration. In some places where the sport is big
(places like Florida)—the accumulation of moisture, the rubbing and the tendency
toward chafing is very uncomfortable. In Florida, Minnesota and from New York to
California, many BMXers use BODYGLIDE® products.
You depend on BMX clothing for protection. But what about the build-up of heat
and perspiration on the surface of your body? Skin Formula gives you a non-oily
barrier to help protect your skin, whether it’s rubbed by the clothing or by
skin, itself. Apply it before you suit-up.
Clothing will cover most of your skin—but for skin exposed to sun, use Sun
Formula. It’s non-oily, and it will not melt and run into your eyes. It will
work right where you apply it.
You won’t have to look for water to wash BODYGLIDE® products off your hands
because you apply them from the tube. They are also light weight and compact.
All the products are offered in convenient carry-along sizes (.45 oz / 12,8 g).
Because they can be applied hands-free, you won’t need to wash them off your
hands. See

Running.
Technical, rock and general climbs require agility and concentration. For some,
exertion is centered in the legs or upper body, but more often it’s in both
areas. In any event, the last thing you need is to get something oily or gooey
on your hands. BODYGLIDE® products are non-messy, convenient and easy to
carry—and you don’t have to worry about losing your grip. (See
If The
Shoe Fits…,
Hiking,

Whether rocks, walls or mountains, pay attention to your feet before you start.
Certain shoes are designed to be stretched tight. Before you put on your
climbing shoes, use Skin Formula. It will give you enough lubrication—but no
slippage—to help get the shoes on. It will also help protect your feet against
irritation, rubbing and blisters. Similarly, Skin Formula can help protect
against the effects of rubbing from equipment.
Unless you are practicing in a climbing gym, you will be spending a great deal
of time under the sun—and even under cloud cover, you need sun protection. As a
stand alone sun screen, Sun Formula offers non-oily, non-messy SPF 25 for
exposed skin including neck, shoulders, arms and legs. Unlike lotions and
creams, it stays where you put it—and it won’t sweat off or melt and run into
your eyes.
Cyclists experience skin irritation and soreness in the “seat” and around the
genitals. The cause is friction, made even more uncomfortable by perspiration.
The skin surface is rubbing against bike shorts, seams, the surface of the bike
seat, and sometimes, skin rubbing against skin. Other products you may have
used—the so-called “butters”—often require reapplication because they slide atop
the skin, and as you are moving, the products slide away from where you need
protection. The “butters” require you to rub them on with your hands, and then
the “butter” is all over your hands. Check the ingredients in those products
which are likely to be petroleum, petrolatum, mineral oil or some other oil,
water, and maybe alcohol. You will not find any of those ingredients in
BODYGLIDE® Skin Formula and Sun Formula.
Apply Skin Formula to your bare skin, bike shorts or chamois. It penetrates,
stays where you need it, and it’s non-oily. The product creates a comfortable,
invisible barrier to help guard against rubbing, but it allows perspiration to
be wicked away. Skin Formula will also help with irritation from chin straps and
anything else that rubs the surface of your body.
On skin exposed to sun, cyclists use Sun Formula with SPF 25 as a stand alone
sun screen. Use it on arms, shoulders, back, legs, etc. On your face, it stays
where you put it, it doesn’t sweat or melt off, it won’t run into your eyes.

Dance can be as demanding as any activity in sports—and the level of required
strength, ability, and endurance are often second to none. Dancers depend on
their feet—and to protect skin from moisture, dryness, calluses, chafing, hot
spots, burning and blisters—there is Skin Formula, which is non-sticky,
non-messy, non-oily, non-greasy, hypoallergenic, and easy to apply, hands-free.
Skin Formula also protects dancers from chafing everywhere they are apt to be
rubbed the wrong way.
Apply Skin Formula to feet, rubbing the product into the skin, to help guard
against rubbing and blisters. Use it anywhere skin is rubbed.
Our products are trusted with equestrian riding apparel, English and Western,
and where endurance and comfort are challenged in the seat, the boots, and for
women, around the bras line. In fact, our products are not only used by riders,
but on horses as well because they are non-sticky, non-messy, non-oily,
non-greasy, hypoallergenic, and easy to apply without rubbing it on you’re your
hands.
Apply it to help provide comfort in the seat against saddle sores, on legs and
calves where boots may rub, and on the thighs which can also be rubbed by the
mount and the saddle. It helps guard against the effects of rubbing which
include rash and chafing. Women find Skin Formula is effective with irritation
around the bras line. And the product is also applied to the horses to help
protect them under the saddle, where straps may rub shoulders, and sometimes to
help protect where hind legs rub.
Apply it wherever you would use Skin Formula—and on skin exposed to sun. On your
face, it will not melt and run into your eyes. With SPF 25, it is also used on
the faces of horses, particularly those that need protection from sun.
What about your skin? Even pro players use BODYGLIDE® products when they go to
camp. Everything in football is designed for performance and protection—helmets,
uniforms, tape, pads, shoes—and don’t forget about the comfort of your skin.
No matter what you wear for protection, it can wear against the surface of your
body. The rubbing, or friction, can result in chafing, blisters and itching.
Skin Formula helps protect your feet from hot spots, burning and blisters. And
everywhere your skin is bound with tape, covered with pads or the uniform
itself—where straps grab your chin—and the jock strap grabs your… - Skin Formula
helps keep your skin comfortable and free of chafing and irritation. It’s
non-greasy, non-oily, and long-lasting. (See
If The
Shoe Fits…)
It has all the benefits of Skin Formula with the addition of SPF 25 for skin
exposed to sun. And, as a stand alone sun screen, it won’t sweat-off.
Whether you ride or walk the course, heat and humidity can cause skin
irritation, including chafing between the legs (or elsewhere). As you consume
liquids to keep cool, heat escape through perspiration. To work on and maintain
your swing, you need the cooperation of muscles and joints.
Perspiration is uncomfortable and it’s an irritant between skin and clothing.
Skin Formula helps maintain comfort as a barrier to rubbing from clothing, and
skin against skin, but it allows perspiration to escape and evaporate. Use it
between your legs or anywhere else on the surface of your body. If you golf
shoes cause any discomfort such as hot spots or blistering, apply Skin Formula
to your feet before you put your shoes on.
You need a reliable sun screen for your exposed skin. You also need a sun screen
that is not oily or greasy, that will not sweat off, and does not require
repeated reapplication. Sun Formula is different from all the sun screens that
squeeze from tubes or bottles, or liquids that pour into your hands. No oil, no
grease, no mess. It penetrates and stays where you need it.
The heart rate monitor is a wonderful device and an important training tool.
Some models are not entirely comfortable due to the straps. Consider either Skin
Formula or Sun Formula for comfort where the monitor and straps touch your skin.
On a hike, the last thing you need is something oily or gooey on your hands. Our
BODYGLIDE® products fit your needs. They are conveniently packaged, easy to
carry, and easy to apply. They can be applied right from the package, so you
don’t need to look for a place to wash them off your hands. They are available
in convenient, easy to pack sizes.
Apply it to your feet—before you slip on socks and boots—to help protect against
hot spots and blisters that can slow you down. Use it on the surface of your
body wherever you are vulnerable to rubbing and skin irritation. In cold
weather, Skin Formula is used on the face to combat the effects of wind and
cold. You can also rub it into your hands to guard against chafing.
You need a reliable sun screen on exposed skin. You also need a sun screen that
is not oily or greasy, that will not sweat off, and that does not require
frequent reapplication. Sun Formula is different from all the sun screens that
squeeze from tubes or bottles, or liquids that pour into your hands. No oil, no
grease, no mess. It penetrates your skin and stays where you need it.
For tight or tired muscles and joints, use WARMFX® Maximum Strength Muscle
Formula. Apply it to your legs, shoulders, and lower back. No product is easier
to use. And because it is applied directly from the tube, it stays off your
hands. So there’s no mess.
(See If The Shoe Fits… also Camping, Climbing, Kayaking, Outdoor)
Skates, gloves, pads, helmets, and uniforms should not cause chafing—but often
do. Some skaters prefer not to wear socks. The cost of the skates is not
necessarily an indication of total comfort, and with or without a snug fit at
the ankle, chafing is possible. Irritation can result from perspiration in
underwear and socks.
It
will help protect your feet from rubbing inside the skates. You can also use it
on your chin, under pads and clothing—wherever you are rubbed and irritated. In
cold weather, Skin Formula is used on the face to combat the effects of wind and
cold. You can also rub it into your hands to help guard against skin irritation
and chafing.
Outdoors, you need a reliable sun screen on exposed skin. You also need a sun
screen that is not oily or greasy, that will not sweat off, and does not require
repeated reapplication. Sun Formula is different from all the sun screens that
squeeze from tubes or bottles, or liquids that pour into your hands. No oil, no
grease, no mess. It penetrates your skin and stays where you need it.
For tight or tired muscles and joints, use WARMFX® Maximum Strength Muscle
Formula before you skate. You can apply it to your legs, shoulders, and lower
back. No product is easier to use. And because it is applied directly from the
tube, it stays off your hands. So, there’s no mess.

Basics You can be comfortable in your shoes. It starts with your feet. The slightest movement of your feet inside your shoes (with or without socks), and in combination with any perspiration, can lead to hot spots, a burning feeling, and blisters. Is it the shoes? Maybe—but maybe not. Read on…
The Shoes Fit in the Store The shoes fit perfectly when you bought them. They felt comfortable. They looked good. They may have been recommended or designed for your needs—for everyday wear, for sports, for work, for dancing, or casual wear. But, then you used them, and something wasn’t right. There was burning, hot spots on the bottom of your feet—or blisters.
What Happens Several things are different after you buy shoes and start to wear them. First, your foot gets hotter than when you are trying on shoes—and that’s normal. The temperature in and around your foot rises dramatically. For cooling, your feet perspire. The moisture needs to evaporate, or be wicked away by socks. Even the slightest amount of moisture together with movement of your feet can cause discomfort—hot spots, burning—or blisters.
The Variables The extent to which you have irritation or a painful condition depends on your feet, shoe design, socks, how much time you spend in your shoes, temperature and humidity, and how much rubbing results from movement of your feet within your shoes.
Other Products You May Have Used Other products you may have tried on your feet probably required that you rub them on with your hands. It is likely they were oily, greasy, and messy—and not very reliable. Most likely, the ingredients in those products were mineral oil, petroleum, petrolatum, oil (of some kind), water or maybe alcohol. Products people have tried on their feet range from super glue (that’s true) and duct tape, to antiperspirants (also true)—all of which are inappropriate because, while they may stop perspiration, they block the pores of your skin and trap perspiration—and your feet need to perspire to release heat.
It’s not slippery, oily, greasy, or messy, and Skin Formula doesn’t need to be
rubbed on with your hands. It doesn’t block pores and trap perspiration and
heat. Perspiration can escape to evaporate or be wicked away by socks, and Skin
Formula creates an invisible, comfortable barrier to help guard against rubbing
(friction). Just apply it to bare skin from the container. How good is it, and
how long does it last? Ask runners who pound out marathons (26.2 miles) and
ultra-runners who do longer distances. Skin Formula is carried in virtually
every running specialty store, and, often, it’s the only product of its kind
they carry.
Conclusion If necessary, try different shoes, different models of the shoes, or different socks. Even then, apply Skin Formula and feel a higher level of comfort.
In competition or for fun, skating can rub parts of your body. Even highend
skates, molded to your feet, can cause rubbing and blisters. There can be
irritation from chin straps, pads, and clothing, including skin suits.
It will help protect your feet from rubbing inside the skates. You can also use
it on your chin, under pads and clothing—wherever you are rubbed and irritated.
In cold weather, Skin Formula is used on the face to help guard skin against the
effects of wind and cold.
Outdoors, you need a reliable sun screen on your exposed skin. You also need a
product that is not oily or greasy, that will not sweat off, and does not
require repeated reapplication. Sun Formula is different from all the sun
screens that squeeze from tubes or bottles, or liquids that pour into your
hands. No oil, no grease, no mess. It penetrates your skin and stays where you
need it.
For tired or aching muscles and joints, use WARMFX® Maximum Strength Muscle
Formula before you skate. In cold weather, it can be applied legs, and under
clothes and skin suits it can produce a feeling of warmth. No product is easier
to use. And because it is applied directly from the tube, it stays off your
hands. There’s no mess.
Joggers, runners and walkers around the world use BODYGLIDE® to protect
themselves from chafing, blisters, and rash—men and women. Long distance
competitors have been using BODYGLIDE® products since first introduced in 1996
at the Los Angeles Marathon. They were amazed that one good application would
protect their feet, their thighs, their nipples—everything and everywhere—for
26.2 miles. (Also see
If The
Shoe Fits…,
Running
and
Walking.)
Aches
behind the shoulder, irritation around the neck, nasty blisters around the
thumb, heat buildup, moisture and rubbing under clothing and from gear are
common in paddling. The moisture is not just from water, but from the body.
Spray jackets and drytops can impact how much you perspire. And you need to
perspire to cool your body, but as you paddle, it leads to some discomfort. Neck
gaskets, latex or neoprene, can cause chafing around the area of the neck. The
PFD (personal floatation device) can rub you the wrong way.
You can use it on your hands. That’s correct. Take 30 seconds or so to rub it
in. Your hands will absorb it, and you may see a light film, but it disappears
quickly and it will not be slippery. The invisible barrier will be resistant to
water—and more importantly, it will give you a non-oily barrier to friction. Use
Skin Formula around the neck where gaskets rub and can cause chafing. Also use
it in places where skin creases (such as underarms, breasts, etc) to guard
against rubbing that causes irritation and chafing. To help protect your face
against wind, cold, and spray, use Skin Formula on your face.
Use it on skin exposed to sun and anywhere you need a reliable sun screen. It is
different from all the sun screens that squeeze from tubes or bottles, or
liquids that pour into your hands. No oil, no grease, no mess. It penetrates
your skin and stays where you need it. It will not melt and run into your eyes.
You can also use it everywhere the sun doesn’t shine!
Bike shorts have a chamois or padding that is supposed to help prevent chafing
discomfort (saddle sores), but often it doesn’t do enough. Your experience
depends on many factors including the bike short, the humidity, the seat, and
how you move on the seat as you ride. (For more information, see also

The Shoe Fits… . One good application usually goes the distance.
BODYGLIDE® products are used by some of the foremost swimmers in the world. In
the ocean, swimmers commonly suffer from rashing to chafing. It occurs under the
arms, around the neck and the inner thighs—wherever skin is rubbing against
skin, also in body creases which occur in the neck, underarms, etc. For many
years, swimmers used petroleum jelly, but it stays atop the skin and slides away
from where it is needed most. In the ocean, swimmers are also challenged by sun
and aches that develop in muscle and joints.
It penetrates and stays right where ocean swimmers need it most. Skin Formula is
used from head to toe. It helps guard the skin against prolonged time in the
water and the effects of salt. Importantly, unlike petroleum jelly, it does not
clog the pores of the skin—but it does stand-up to ocean water.
Sun
is a factor for ocean swimmers who cannot stop to apply, much less re-apply sun
screen. Sun Formula is ideal for the ocean. It is different from all the sun
screens that squeeze from tubes or bottles, or liquids that pour into your
hands. No oil, no grease, no mess. It penetrates your skin and stays where you
need it. And like Skin Formula, you can use it where the sun doesn’t shine!
To prepare for a swim, it can be used to help with tight muscles and joints—and
on arms and legs to stimulate circulation and generate warmth.
Orthotics
provide necessary support and help absorb shock, help guard against fatigue and
help eliminate foot and ankle injuries. To soothe the skin and protect feet from
rubbing, many people who use orthotics also use Skin Formula for the extra
measure of comfort and protection against hot spots, burning and blisters. (See
If The Shoe Fits…)
Outdoor activities are reflected in footwear, clothing and gear. And here are
three important considerations.
Outdoor conditions Weather, including heat and humidity, change.
The condition of your skin There is a tendency not to think about your skin until a problem develops.
Physical conditioning What you do, how well you do it, and how you feel depend upon where you are, what you are doing, your personal endurance, and the condition of your muscles and joints. BODYGLIDE® offers small, carry-along (.45 oz / 12,8 g) sizes of all of its products.
In hot weather or cold, against the wind, and even if you are submerged in
water, Skin Formula helps protect the condition of your skin, even as conditions
change. Skin Formula penetrates, lubricates and moisturizes, and because it
stands-up to water and perspiration, it helps elasticity and helps keep your
skin from drying out. Contradiction? Not at all. Skin products containing water
evaporate which leaves the skin dry, so you apply more. Skin Formula does not
contain water and it doesn’t dry out your skin. Products containing oil
(petroleum, petrolatum, mineral oil, lanolin, etc.) ride on top of your skin,
and they need reapplication. When first applied, they feel creamy, but what you
are feeling is oil or grease that slides away. Those products can block pores,
trap perspiration needed to cool the body, and can leave the skin cells dry.
Sun is a factor outdoors and, often, you can’t stop to re-apply sun screen. Sun
Formula is applied to skin exposed to sun and anywhere you need help to guard
against friction. It is different from all the sun screens that squeeze from
tubes or bottles, or liquids that pour into your hands. No oil, no grease, no
mess. It penetrates your skin and stays where you need it. And like the regular
Skin Formula, you can also use it where the sun doesn’t shine!
BODYGLIDE® products have been determined to be of benefit by athletes who are
physically challenged. Those who use a prosthesis have discovered how both the
Skin Formula and Sun Formula, when used on stumps and bumps, give them a higher
level of comfort. Similarly, athletes who workout and compete in chairs have
experienced more comfort. We hope our products encourage more PC athletes to
pursue their goals. (See
If The
Shoe Fits…)
Quick starts, stops and lateral movement are required in tennis, racquetball,
squash, and other racquet sports. Players cut left and right, run hard and stop
short. This puts considerable pressure on their feet—and even the slightest
amount of movement of the foot inside the shoes, minor slippage or rubbing, will
result in hot spots, burning or blisters. Depending upon your build and
clothing, parts of the body will experience rubbing resulting in chafing and
other forms of skin irritation.
Perspiration is uncomfortable and an irritant between skin and clothing, and
shoes and feet. Skin Formula provides a comfortable, invisible barrier as it
helps guard against the discomforts of rubbing from clothing and protection
against hot spots and blisters on your feet. It does not block the pores of your
skin. Prior to activity, apply it to your feet, between your legs and anywhere
else you need it. (See
If The
Shoe Fits…)
You need a reliable sun screen on your exposed skin. You also need a sun screen
that is not oily or greasy, that will not sweat off, and does not require
repeated reapplication. Use Sun Formula. On your face, it won’t melt and run
into your eyes. It is different from all the sun screens that squeeze from tubes
or bottles, or liquids that pour into your hands. No oil, no grease, no mess. It
penetrates your skin and stays where you need it.
No matter what the temperature, indoors and outdoors, your tight or tired
muscles and joints may need an assist. Stretching helps. So does long-lasting,
reliable penetrating warmth. Apply WARMFX® Maximum Strength Muscle Formula to
upper arms, shoulders, lower back and wherever you need help with muscles and
joints or for temporary relief of aches and pains. No product is easier to use.
And because it is applied directly from the tube, it stays off your hands.
There’s no mess.
Your body may experience skin irritation and chafing from paddling. Various
authorities recommend specific types of gear and clothing for protection. Skin
irritation and chafing can also result when your body rubs against the raft, or
from how you wedge your feet and legs into the raft. Sun is also a challenge, as
are pain and soreness.
It is particularly suited for river running, whitewater rafting, and tubing. The
non-oily, non-greasy, non-messy Skin Formula penetrates the skin, and it
stands-up to the water, wind, and temperature of the air. It helps guard skin
against the abrasiveness of PFDs (life jackets), safety straps, chin straps and
wherever your body rubs against the rafts, tubes, and other equipment you carry
down river. It is particularly helpful in body creases (underarms, genitals,
breasts, etc). And it will help guard your feet against chafing and blisters
when they are wet and sliding—rubbing—against footwear.
On the water, you need a reliable sun screen on your exposed skin. You also need
a sun screen that is not oily or greasy, that will not sweat off, and does not
require frequent reapplication. Use Sun Formula. On your face, it won’t melt and
run into your eyes. It is different from all the sun screens that squeeze from
tubes or bottles, or liquids that pour into your hands. No oil, no grease, no
mess. It penetrates your skin and stays where you need it.
In rowing, abrasion, skin irritation, chafing, blisters, even callus on the
buttocks is common. Hand blisters are also common and usually tolerated in hopes
the skin will adapt. Not many rowers are willing to wear gloves. On the
buttocks, experts say the causes of irritation range from the rowing seat to
position of the finish of the stroke. Solutions range from changing the seat,
using a pad made of foam, to application of a skin preparation. Rowers using
petroleum jelly report it is not comfortable to apply, it is not practical on
hands, and wherever it is used there is a need to reapply it.
A better solution is a non-oily, non-greasy, non-messy barrier applied to the
surface of your body—to help with rubbing (and moisture) that penetrates the
skin. Skin Formula is a better solution. You can even use it on your hands.
That’s right! Take 30 seconds, or so, to rub it in thoroughly. Hands will absorb
it, and once it is rubbed in, you may see a light film that disappears quickly.
The invisible barrier stands-up to water—but it’s not slippery. Similarly, it
will help protect your buttocks from the irritation caused by the seat or your
movement within the seat.
Use it for sun exposure which is heightened by reflection off the water. You
need a reliable sun screen on your exposed skin. Sun Formula is not oily or
greasy, it does not sweat off, and generally it does not require frequent
reapplication. On your face, it won’t melt and run into your eyes. It is
different from all the sun screens that squeeze from tubes or bottles, or
liquids that pour into your hands. No oil, no grease, no mess. It penetrates
your skin and stays where you need it.
The challenges in running include hot spots and blisters on feet; skin
irritation and chafing from shorts, shirts, sports bras; skin rubbing against
skin; runner’s nipple; weather conditions with conditions ranging from sun to
high humidity, low humidity, wind, rain and bitter cold; and, the condition of
your muscles and joints. They have an effect on your comfort, endurance,
performance, and when you compete, your timing. BODYGLIDE® products are the
leading products of their kind recommended by runners for runners and available
in leading specialty running stores around the world. (Also see
Triathlon,
Cycling,
Swimming.)
For
your feet Runners apply Skin Formula on their feet before they slip
into their socks and Running Shoes. It provides an invisible, comfortable
barrier that helps guards against movement of the feet within the socks and

For irritation from shorts, shirts, sports bras, and skin rubbing against skin Apply Skin Formula on your skin in areas where your skin is vulnerable. Take care where seams and the edges of shorts, shirts and other clothing contact your skin. Women use Skin Formula around the edges of sports bras and straps, also the inside of the upper arm where it swings against the bras straps. Men use Skin Formula in the groin area and it is widely used for runner’s nipple.
For weather conditions including high or low humidity, etc. For humid conditions, Skin Formula helps lubricate your skin without blocking the pores. It’s unique because while it stands up to water and moisture, it also permits perspiration to escape—which is necessary to help your body cool. In dry conditions, as in the cold and wind, Skin Formula helps keep your skin moisturized. In cold, particularly if the wind is blowing against your face and other bare skin, Skin Formula is a helpful barrier of protection.
Use it for skin exposed to sun—and anywhere on your body as you would use the
regular Skin Formula. Remember—it’s two products in one: a sun screen, and a
skin lubricant. As a stand alone sun screen, on your face and bare skin, Sun
Formula stays where you apply it, it doesn’t melt off or run into your eyes. It
is different from all the sun screens that squeeze from tubes or bottles, or
liquids that pour into your hands. No oil, no grease, no mess. It penetrates
your skin and stays where you need it.
Masks, fins and wetsuits should fit properly and be as comfortable as possible.
Often, the seal on the mask isn’t right. Fins can cause skin irritation and
chafing. The same for wetsuits. Take care when using any skin lubricants. Those
containing petroleum, petrolatum, and mineral oil (to name a few
ingredients)—can break-down glue, seams and the equipment itself. Check with the
manufacturer. BODYGLIDE® Skin Formula is widely recommended as a safe skin
lubricant—and for use in contact with gear—because it does not contain any of
the offending ingredients.
It’s applied on the face for masks (rub it in, well), on feet for fins, and all
over wetsuits. Use it anywhere gear grabs or rubs skin. Skin Formula was
originally invented to fight wetsuit chafing and rash. The challenge was to
develop a product that will not breakdown the glues that hold wetsuits together,
or the wetsuit material itself. That would mean that it could not contain any
petroleum—zero. The additional challenge was to create a product that would also
stand-up to water (salt water), and be long-lasting, rub-proof, hypoallergenic,
and non-messy.
A considerable amount of time is spent on the water and, often, in the sun. Use
Sun Formula for skin exposed to sun—and anywhere on your body as you would use
the regular Skin Formula. Remember—it’s two products in one: a sun screen, and a
skin lubricant. As a stand alone sun screen, on your face and bare skin, Sun
Formula stays where you apply it. It doesn’t melt or run into your eyes. Because
it penetrates the skin, your not as likely to need to reapply it. It is
different from all the sun screens that squeeze from tubes or bottles, or
liquids that pour into your hands. No oil, no grease, no mess. It penetrates
your skin and stays where you need it.
Skaters, from figure skaters to hockey players, seek skates that fit perfectly.
Then, they subject their feet, their legs, and their entire bodies to forces and
pressure that require superb balance and athleticism. It requires careful
distribution of weight and precise control of their skates. Muscles and joints
are flexed as their bodies twist.
It can help protect your feet from rubbing inside the skates. Apply it to your
skin. Hockey players can also use it on the chin, under pads and
clothing—wherever the skin is rubbed and irritated. Outdoors, in cold weather,
Skin Formula is used on the face to combat the effects of wind and cold. Apply
it and rub it into your hands to guard against chafing from gloves.
If you skate outdoors, you need a reliable sun screen on your exposed skin. You
also need a sun screen that is not oily or greasy, that will not sweat off, and
does not require frequent reapplication. Sun Formula is different from all the
sun screens that squeeze from tubes or bottles, or liquids that pour into your
hands. No oil, no grease, no mess. It penetrates your skin and stays where you
need it.
For tight or tired muscles and joints, use WARMFX® Maximum Strength Muscle
Formula before you skate. Apply it to your legs, shoulders, and lower back. No
product is easier to use. And because it is applied directly from the tube, it
stays off your hands. There’s no mess. Please also see
Inline Skating and
Hockey.
Whether a skier or Boarder, you want to be comfortable and protected against the
sun, wind, moisture, clothing that rubs you the wrong way, and you don’t want
your feet to be irritated inside your boots.
It will help protect your feet. Apply it to your skin. Use it around goggles and
on bare skin under clothing—wherever you may experience rubbing and irritation.
In cold weather, Skin Formula is used on the face to combat the effects of wind
and cold. You can also rub it into your hands to guard against, dryness, cracked
skin and chafing from gloves.
You need a reliable sun screen on your exposed skin. You also need a sun screen
that is not oily or greasy, that will not sweat off, and does not require
frequent reapplication. Sun Formula is different from all the sun screens that
squeeze from tubes or bottles, or liquids that pour into your hands. No oil, no
grease, no mess. It penetrates your skin and won’t melt off or run into your
eyes.
Challenges range from hot spots and blisters in soccer shoes, to irritation from
uniforms rubbing against skin, to overworked muscles and joints.
Apply it to your bare feet before you slip on your soccer shoes. It helps
protect against rubbing that causes hot spots and blisters. Use it wherever you
are rubbed and irritated. Some soccer players use it for protection on and
around their nipples. Outdoors, in cold weather, Skin Formula is used on the
face to combat the effects of wind and cold.
It penetrates your skin and stays where you need it.
It didn’t take spinners long to discover the benefits of BODYGLIDE® products—and
for much the same reasons as cyclists. As with cyclists, the challenges are
saddle sores and maintaining comfort in the area around the genitals.(See also
Cycling.)
The BODYGLIDE® advanced technical line of products started with the Skin
Formula, invented by a surfer in Santa Barbara, California to fight wetsuit
chafing and rash. His challenge was to develop a product that will not breakdown
wetsuit material. Consequently, the product could not contain any
petroleum—zero. An added challenge was to create a product that would also
stand-up to salt water, and would be long-lasting, hypoallergenic, and
non-messy. Problem solved. See for yourself.
Apply
it to your neck and anywhere else your body is vulnerable to wetsuit chafing and
rash. It will help in the creases of your skin including underarms, groin,
breasts, etc.
As an additional benefit, sun screen was added to the original Skin Formula. Sun
Formula is used on the face, and if you rub it in to your exposed skin, it will
not be slippery. It is not oily or greasy, and does not require frequent
reapplication. It is different from all the sun screens that squeeze from tubes
or bottles, or liquids that pour into your hands. No oil, no grease, no mess. It
penetrates your skin and stays where you need it.
BODYGLIDE® products are used by some of the foremost swimmers in the world.
Swimmers commonly suffer from skin irritation ranging from rashing to chafing.
It occurs under the arms, around the neck and the inner thighs—wherever skin is
rubbing against skin, and in body creases which occur in the neck, underarms,
etc. For many years, swimmers used petroleum jelly, but it stays atop the skin,
slides away from where it is needed most, and it doesn’t penetrate the skin. In
ocean or pools, swimmers are also challenged by sun and aches that develop in
muscle and joints.
It penetrates the skin and stays right where swimmers need it most. Skin Formula
is used from head to toe. It helps guard the skin against prolonged time in the
water and the effects. Importantly, unlike petroleum jelly, it does not clog the
pores of the skin—and it is water resistant.
Sun is sometimes a factor for swimmers who cannot stop to apply, much less
re-apply sun screen. Sun Formula is for skin exposed to sun and anywhere you
need a reliable sun screen. It is different from all the sun screens that
squeeze from tubes or bottles, or liquids that pour into your hands. No oil, no
grease, no mess. It penetrates your skin and stays where you need it. And you
can also use it everywhere the sun doesn’t shine!

Blisters on feet are among the most reported injuries in professional tennis
tournaments. But you don’t have to be a pro. Blisters on feet, caused by
friction from frequent starts and stops in tennis, are avoidable. Prevention
starts with shoes that fit properly, using the correct socks to wick away
perspiration, and using the appropriate lubricant on your feet.
It penetrates the skin and stays right where you need it most. Importantly,
unlike petroleum jelly, it does not clog the pores of the skin—so it doesn’t
interfere with perspiration, necessary to cool your feet.
Use it on skin exposed to sun and anywhere you need a reliable sun screen. It is
different from all the sun screens that squeeze from tubes or bottles, or
liquids that pour into your hands. No oil, no grease, no mess. It penetrates
your skin and stays where you need it. And like regular formula Skin Formula,
you can also use it everywhere the sun doesn’t shine.

conditioner of USA Triathlon, the national governing body for the multi-sport

It penetrates the skin and stays right where triathletes need it most. BODYGLIDE
is used from head to toe. It helps guard the skin against wetsuit chafing in the
swim, saddle sores in cycling, and the chafing, blisters and skin irritation
that can be troublesome in running. Unlike petroleum jelly, it does not clog the
pores of the skin—and it stands up to water and perspiration. (See

It’s both a sun product and a reliable skin lubricant. Use it on skin exposed to
sun and anywhere you need a reliable sun screen. The Sun Formula is also safe on
wetsuits—and it’s two products in one. It can be used on skin exposed to sun as
a stand alone sun screen. It’s different from all the sun screens that squeeze
from tubes or bottles, or liquids that pour into your hands. No oil, no grease,
no mess. It penetrates your skin and stays where you need it. And like Skin
Formula, you can also use it everywhere the sun doesn’t shine.
On the beach—indoors—or wherever it’s played—volleyball requires agility. Quick
moves, fast starts, fast stops, jumping—it has it all. Playing the game, your
body perspires—and in combination with your movement and accompanying rubbing of
your skin, there’s a possibility of chafing and foot blisters.
It helps protect your skin against rubbing—and if you play on a hard surface, it
helps protect feet against the effects of movement inside the shoes that leads
to hot spots, burning and blisters. See also (
If The
Shoe Fits… )
It also helps to protect your skin against rubbing—with the added benefit of SPF
25 sun screen. It’s two products in one—a sun screen, and a superior skin
formula to help protect your skin against the effects of friction (rubbing) that
causes blisters, chafing and other irritation.
It’s
not enough that walking shoes fit perfectly in the store. If they didn’t, you
wouldn’t buy them. (See
If The

It can help keep you comfortable, as you add miles. To help guard feet against
hot spots, a burning feeling and blisters, apply Skin Formula to your bare feet
before you slip on socks and your walking shoes. Do the same to help protect
inner thighs (where skin may rub against skin, or against undergarments, or
against seams and edges of clothing) to help protect against chafing or the
effects of perspiration. Use Skin Formula anywhere skin touches skin or where
straps (bras) cut into the skin, or in crevesas such as around arms, breasts,
groin, etc.
It offers you two products in one. It is both a sun screen product and a
reliable skin lubricant, like the Skin Formula. It contains SPF 25. It stays
where you put it, it won’t melt off, and on your face, it won’t run into your
eyes.
It
can help warm-up tight or tired muscles and joints, and it can help stimulate
circulation before you start—and after you finish. See also

They have some things in common. One can be tough on your feet. The other can
also be tough on your feet, your knees, and your shins. Both require
strength—and in either sport your skin is hanging out there—and you can expect
some chafing.
It can help protect you anywhere your skin comes in contact with equipment, your
swimwear, lifejackets or other safety gear—and where skin rubs skin itself.
Adds the benefits of SPF 25—giving you 2 products in 1; a sun screen, and a
protective skin formula.
